What's the Buzz: Storm Water Management to Control Flooding

Event Details

The Johnson City Public Library will host a panel discussion titled Stormwater Management to Control Flooding on Thursday, February 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Jones Meeting Room. Dr. Ingrid Luffman from East Tennessee State University’s Department of Geosciences will serve as moderator for the event. Discussions will focus on the historical flooding in Johnson City, projects such as the library’s new water infiltration bed that help combat flooding, and ideas for how local residents can manage stormwater. Panelists will include local experts Andy Best, Stormwater Manager for the City of Johnson City; Lee Gentry, Principal at LDA Engineering; and Jason Foster, Water Resources Engineer with LDA Engineering.
